Vitalideas offer a program for volunteers in the community of Cajabamba II, Canton Santa Clara, Province of Pastaza, Ecuador and in our office in Quito.

Volunteer Program

Vitalideas gives you the opportunity to get to know the Ecuadorian culture while working in one of our socio-environmental projects. As a volunteer, you will develop your language skills and get a clearer idea of the latin-american reality working in a professional and socially responsible environment, in various topics:

Socio-cultural topics:

  • Participation in the coordination and research for community development projects.
  • Communication documents, photo and video (sociocultural and environmental issues).
  • Actions for the recovery and preservation of cultural identity

Environmental topics:

  • Participation in development of environmental projects.
  • Development of didactic materials for environmental education.
  • Organization of “cleaning activities” and recycling in rural communities.
  • Visit of cultivated areas and improvement of local technics.
  • Data collection on faunistic and floristic species in the province of Pastaza, Ecuador.

Volunteer in Quito, Ecuador

Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of Spanish language.
  • Interest for sustainable development, Social and Environmental Responsibility topics.
  • Reliability in working hours and entrusted tasks.
  • Medical and life insurance.

Minimum duration: 1 month.

Vitalideas provides all necessary items to execute given tasks, including computer and will give a final letter of recommendation if required. All expenses such as transport, food, housing, etc. are not covered by Vitalideas.


Volunteer in the Community of Cajabamba II (Province of Pastaza, Ecuador)

Requirements

  • Intermediate level in Spanish language.
  • Interest for community development topics.
  • Reliability of entrusted tasks.
  • Interest in working with rural communities and with children.
  • Good health conditions.
  • No difficulty in staying in a hot and humid climate.
  • Medical and life insurance.

Minimum duration: 1 month

Vitalideas provides all necessary items to execute given tasks, including computer with Internet connection, daily support of a staff member, and will give a final letter of recommendation if required. The volunteer will be accommodated by Vitalideas in Las Cascadas Jungle Lodge in the community of Cajabamba II. All other expenses such as transport, food, etc. will not be covered by Vitalideas.
